Triple 7

Triple 7

You won’t find any quesadillas or stodgy burritos on the menu at this modern Mexican joint. Instead, expect mouthwatering crispy tostados topped with super fresh yellow fin tuna sashimi, zingy ceviche and finger-licking mains served straight from the wood-fired grill; we keep coming back for the spicy guava pork ribs served with a stack of sweet plantain crisps and chipotle slaw. As with the flavours of the food, the mood in 777 is sexy and supercharged, enhanced by the sultry ?prison tat? mosaiced walls, low-lighting and gleaming 12ft-long tequila bar, stocked with over 100 premium label Tequilas and 30 Mezcals. The 777 cocktail list is a thing of terrible beauty. Almost every night of the week the place is slammed, so come early to nab a table then, cocktail in hand, sit back and soak up the fashionably frenetic atmosphere. ?777_page_2

Top Table if you’re more than four, make sure to bag the round table by the window.
What to drink It’s got to be the 777 Margarita Especial made with Dos Reposado Organic Tequila, triple sec, lime juice, agave syrup and finished with a lime sorbet ball.
Who to bring A gang is best.
Don’t leave without Checking out the quirky village water trough, that owner John Farrell picked up in Mexico and has positioned as a unisex handbasin outside the loo.
In the know Don’t say Seven, Seven, Seven … say Triple Seven.
