The Most Popular Instagram Snaps Of 2015 Are All By Women

2015 is drawing to a close, and that usually means one thing: lists. Lists of good things, bad things and everything else that made this year so memorable (can you tell we love a good list?). And the Instagram-obsessed among us will love this one in particular. The photo-sharing?app just released data on the most popular posts based on the number of likes and comments, and to quote Beyonc?, who runs the (social media) world? Girls! It was successful, hardworking women such as?Beyonc?, Selena Gomez and Kendall Jenner who all topped the fully-female list for?2015.

These public figures took us momentarily away from the daily grind, giving us a heavily-filtered glimpse into their amazing lives and for that, we thank them.

However, it was Taylor Swift who proved to be the Instagram Queen with five out of the ten’most-liked posts coming from her account. Is anyone surprised?

Thanks to her 57 million followers, she can share the honour with her cat Meredith (the real star), who also received plenty of virtual hearts – enough to put her in three of Taylor’s top photos.

And yes, we’re a tad surprised Kim K didn’t make it.
