The J Law And Amy Schumer Movie: What We Know So Far

The J Law And Amy Schumer Movie: What We Know So Far

When two of our favourite notoriously talented actresses, Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence announced they were teaming up to compose what will no doubt be intelligent, witty and insightful prose in the guise of a movie, we couldn’t contain our excitement. They are each other’s Gal Pals (we bet they could give Taylor Swift’s infamous Girl Squad a run for its money), two of America’s funniest women and each has something unique to bring to the project. Lawrence, Queen of Real Talk, is known for choosing quality film roles – and we have little doubt this will be her finest to date. And after the success of Trainwreck, Emmy Award Winning Schumer is now officially a force to be reckoned with. Put all that together and what do you get? A seriously exciting collaboration that we (and Hollywood) can scarcely wait for. Up to now,?they have kept schtum on major details regarding the hush-hush project, but at last, J Law has spoken to Entertainment Tonight and given us something?to go on. Here is what we know so far:

(Basic) Plot Details:

Piano men

We know that the pair will fittingly, play sisters and wipe?that surprised expression off your faces because it’s Schumer who will don a uniform and play the smart, dependable role of a possible air hostess. ?Amy, in this movie, she has it very together. It’s her lifelong dream to be a flight attendant. She works at the airport,? Lawrence revealed. ?And I’m a MESS.? This is going to be so good. Also confirmed was that the script would be ?funny,? ‘dirty,? and ‘real,? and we’d expect nothing less. No release date as yet (sob), but the fact that J Law is already divulging details is possibly a sure sign that steady progress is being made. We’ll take that.

Bette Midler Really Wants A Role

Veteran?actress and the generally brilliant legend that is Bette Midler expressed her not-so-subtle interest in the project a while back with this:

Midler has been a longtime vocal fan of Lawrence so could her tweet become film reality? We wouldn’t be one bit surprised and think the antics that all three would get up to would be nothing short of mighty. This is one bit of casting we’d love to see happen.

?The Film Might Be Rated R

“We both have very similar senses of humor, obviously and aren’t afraid, which is a good and bad thing, because I don’t know what our movie will be rated,” Lawrence continued. “And we’re both very blunt.” While it is too early to even be talking ratings, we can only imagine the epic ‘adults only’ one-liners that either could spout. All ratings aside, we expect great things. Also, this relatable pair never argue: “We’ve gotten through a really strenuous process without ever fighting, because we’re both very straightforward.” ?

It Might Not Contain Any Men?

Straight from J Law herself, the film might be all empowering banter from inspiring women sans men.?What about for roles for, say, Bradley Cooper or Liam Hemsworth? ?”No, no, no, no, no…there’s not really boys in it,” Lawrence insists. While we’re all for equal opportunities for the sexes, if these ladies want to take this movie to show the world they will (and can) totally nail it?without any (obviously talented) male co-stars, who are we to judge? Either way, we know the women will shine. Roll on movie release date.
