It was an evening of frocks and sparkles as 350 Corkonians gathered for a ?black and bling?themed evening in the Rochestown Park Hotel in Douglas, Cork for the inaugural Diamond Wishes ball in aid of the Cork University Hospital Charity’s Children’s Appeal. Guests were welcomed with a drinks reception before sitting down to a three-course dinner of Cajun chicken salad in a filo basket, followed by a duo of salmon and cod, and a dessert of wild berry crumble. A raffle offered up a diamond ring, gym membership and beauty products, and raised much excitement. All proceeds from the night went towards the refurbishment of the children’s unit at the hospital.
