The inaugural Blossom Tree Ball by Pippa O’Connor Ormond at The K Club in aid of Temple Street Hospital took place on Saturday evening. The Temple Street Hospital’s new state of the art Neurology and Renal Outpatients Unit is in its final completion stage now. This is the biggest project the hospital has undertaken and with more than 6,500 seriously ill children accessing these services each year, they cannot afford to wait.  Sick children do not have the luxury of time, so funds raised from The Blossom Tree Ball will help purchase vital pieces of equipment for these two amazing units.

Glamorous guests were out in force to enjoy the wonderful surroundings of The K Club. The evening began with a Mumm champagne and Beefeater Gin Cocktail reception sponsored by House Dublin, after which guests enjoyed a delicious four-course gourmet lunch with wines sponsored by Brancott Estate. Brian Ormond was the MC for the evening with Barry Murphy on hand to conduct the auction and Brian Dowling did an impromptu blind date segment ahead of St. Valentine’s Day.

During the evening, guests hit the dancefloor thanks to the incredible entertainment of the night: The Function Band. The evening came to an end after a fun-filled raffle and auction with a number of lots going under the hammer to raise much-needed funds for Temple Street Hospital.

Guests who attended on the night included Brian Ormond and Pippa O’Connor Ormond, Nadia Forde, designers Lucy Nagle and Keira Kennedy,  TV star Brian Dowling, Keith Duffy and wife Lisa, as well as Rory Cowan and Caroline Downey to name but a few.
