5 bedside tables to keep your bedroom organised

5 bedside tables to keep your bedroom organised

An organised bedroom will help you drift off to sleep more easily, so here are 5 great bedside tables to help keep everything in its place.

There’s nothing we love more than climbing into bed at the end of a tiring day, and so we want the experience to be as stress-free as possible. No rooting around for those essentials you need just before you nod off. Maybe the book you’re reading, your phone charger, or a glass of water.

Bedside tables are the perfect place to keep all these things, but if you’re buying one, there are some options out there. Do you want drawers to keep lots of things close to hand, or would you prefer a minimal design for your Marie Kondo’ed bedroom, free of superfluous possessions? Here are five designs to get you started on your quest for beside organisation.

bedside tables

We love this fun locker-style offering from April & the Bear. Available in six colours to work with a range of styles, it has two shelves inside, meaning it’s on the generous side of storage space for a bedside table. The door even has a lock, perfect if your housemate can’t be trusted not to “borrow” your expensive night cream. Shorty locker, €205, April & the Bear.

bedside tables

Great for a bedroom that’s short on space, this leaning design features a drawer and a shelf, while still leaving virtually all the floor space underneath it free. Made from oak with a minimal design, its classic style won’t date in a year or two and will work with almost any colour scheme. Oak dresser with one drawer, €299, Woo .Design.

If you’re looking for a simple design that can hide away your bits and bobs, a drawer is a must. This colourful design from Ikea will add a pop of colour to your room, too, while its geometric design will add a modern feel. Nikkeby bedside table, €65, Ikea.

If all you want beside your bed is the bare minimum, this sleek shelf will help you stick to your resolution. We also love the slot to hold a book or a few magazines, key for a lazy Saturday morning. Maze F-shelf, €155, Finnish Design Shop.

Sometimes you can’t beat a classic. Made from oak, featuring two large drawers and a clean, simple form, this Ercol design would look good in any bedroom. It also has ample space on top for a lamp, plant, or anything else you want to display. Teramo 2682 Bedside Cabinet, €469, Arnotts.
