A Sprinkle of Heaven – Top 6 Wedding Cake Trends for 2016

A Sprinkle of Heaven – Top 6 Wedding Cake Trends for 2016

Here at IMAGE Brides we do not discriminate. Cakes come in many shapes and sizes, and we love them all. However, some cakes are simply sweeter than others.

We recently sat down with international wedding planner Bruce Russell, in The Cliff Townhouse, to discuss the ?I dos and I don’ts? of wedding cake selection. Bruce tells us that ?there’s no point creating something that is aesthetically masterful and largely inedible,? and we could not agree more. Bruce also expressed that ‘detail can be added in the form of little embroidered motifs or a light sprinkling of fairy dust – warming shades of yellow or rose gold or copper to add a delicious dash of decadence.? Bruce gave us such a great insight to world of cake selection, but his main piece of advice for the bride-to-be is that cakes should be ?the perfect combination of style and substance.?

Amen Bruce!
