Sofia Coppola

Growing up as Hollywood royalty has never seemed to phase Sofia Coppola. Her demeanor has always been that of the observant outsider and it has spilled over into her movies where misunderstandings, loose ends and equivocations abound. Understated and chic, we have long-adored her and are too thrilled to see her pictures and interviews gracing the pages of magazines as she talks about The Bling Ring. Her California perma-tan, her shift dresses and short skirts along with her love of white shirts, has long made her one of our total fashion obsessions. Just as The Bling Ring is a veiled criticism of the consumer crazed world of celebrity icons, Sofia’s own style seems to set itself in direct opposition to that world, with her preference for pared back cuts and a monochrome palette making her the epitome of elegance.
