There were lights, cameras and loads of action at The Savoy Cinema on Dublin’s O’Connell Street for the Irish premiere screening of Wonder Woman.? Wonder Woman is the new American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure film.

although it has taken 75 years for Wonder Woman, director Patty Jenkins certainly does it justice. The plot goes as follows: before she was Wonder Woman she was Diana, Princess of The Amazons, who was trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana discovers her powers and her true destiny.

It is one of the summer biggest blockbusters and guests attending the premiere included TV presenter and fashion designer Darren Kennedy, RTE 2fm’s Baz Ashmawy, TV3s Martin King, Lisa Cannon and Blaithnaid Ni Chofaigh.
