The Wedding?Forum?took place at The?Shelbourne?Hotel on the 12th of?January. Prospective brides and grooms received a glimpse into the top-tier services the hotel has to offer for bridal parties, while meeting some of the country’s most respected experts in their field, each contributing their experience and sharing their knowledge on their specialised aspect of the big day.

Beginning with drinks and canap’s in the hotel’s luxurious Stephen’s Suite with its spectacular views of St. Stephen’s Green, the evening examined in detail many of the key elements that go to make an unforgettable day. ?From menu selection with one of the members of the?Shelbourne?kitchen, food and wine tips, to beauty ideas and advice, to idyllic honeymoon destinations and romantic travel plans, the?Wedding?Forum?also showcases some of the most stunning bridal fashion creations available anywhere.

Bridal boutique Myrtle Ivory also held an exclusive preview of some of the highlights of the season’s new collections from some of their most renowned and stylish designers.

With carefully curated advice on beauty and style from the Sunday Independent’s Beauty Editor and all round beauty guru, Triona McCarthy, and the hotel’s own Style Butler Marietta Doran, travel expert P?l O’Conghaile talked through heavenly honeymoon destinations, and there were also expert insights from master tailor Louis Copeland’s legendary tailoring company with tips for groomsmen on trends in suiting and buying this most important of suits.

Another highlight of the night was the lush floral displays prepared by the ?Flowers by The?Shelbourne? team, who divinely combine colours and textures to make every?wedding?unique. Guests?benefited?from the vast knowledge of florist Anna Hayden. From buttonholes to the all-important bridal bouquet, table centres to thank-you bouquets, the florists at The?Shelbourne?offer full packages and bespoke arrangements, all with impeccable attention to detail.

With the added glamour and experience brought by the comp’re on the evening, Sybil Mulcahy, the?WeddingForum?covered everything a prospective bride would need to know, where all questions and qualms were addressed throughout the evening.
