In partnership with Avonmore Balance Milk, IMAGE set themselves a task; to help women to find better balance in all aspects of their hectic lives. With our new series, Discover The Power Of Balance, we spoke to five leading experts in the fields of fitness, nutrition, finance, career, and relationships to bridge the gap with practical, easy to implement advice and tips.

How do we factor in some essential ‘me-time?? What about getting a firm handle on our personal finances? How do we know we’re getting the very best out of our careers? When it comes to nutrition, how do we balance our meals to ensure we’re getting the nutrition we need? And in terms of our fitness routines, is it about re-assessing what we already know?

These were only some of the questions we asked our panel, which featured Fitness Guru,?Kathryn Thomas?of?Pure Results Bootcamp,?Psychologist?Allison Keating?from?Bwell Clinic, Career Psychologist?Sin?ad Brady,?Dietitian?Paula Mee?and Personal Finance expert,?Sinead Ryan.

We were up bright and early to a full house and a delicious breakfast in the welcoming surroundings of Fallon & Byrne. And it was truly?a morning of positivity and inspiring advice.?One thing was overwhelmingly clear: it’s not that we don’t want balance in our day-to-day lives, we often just find it too difficult to achieve. So the advice from our panel was, start small and start slowly and remember that the very idea of balance is different for everyone. ?It’s about realistically doing what works for you, whether that means reassessing your nutrition and consciously?looking at your eating plan, actually penciling in the hour of ‘me? time in your diary, giving a new fitness routine at least three weeks before deciding whether it suits you or reflecting on your career and where it is you want to go.

“Career success happens if you plan, practice and bring about change,” said Sinead Brady. “Overnight success is a notion.”

We couldn’t agree more.

Have a look at how the morning went and see if you can spot yourself in our gallery above.
