This year’s Cork Simon Ball not only marked the 13th annual event, but the fact it took place in 2013 proved the perfect opportunity for a ?Lucky 13? theme. Guests were treated to a drinks reception, a three-course dinner and an auction for cookery lessons, make-overs and one-on-one sporting sessions with heroes such as Ronan O?Gara and Brian Cody. That and three separate raffles raised over €70,000 to help the homeless in Cork.
