With Christmas fast approaching, it’s definitely time to start thinking about what to buy all your favourite people this year, which is why the timing of Black Friday couldn’t be more perfect. Whether you have an interiors lover in your life, or maybe you want to take the opportunity to spruce up your home before guests descend for the festive season, we’ve found some places that you can find good deals, as well as some that have a social impact, too.
Amara
With discounts on brands like Ralph Lauren Home and Orla Kiely, this is a great place to pick up a high-end bargain. The best savings are to be had on Amara’s own brand of products, with up to 50% off. Hen’s Teeth, an independent art and lifestyle store on Fade Street, Dublin have come up with a deal that highlights the impact Black Friday can have on small businesses. Their ‘For a Better City’ discount will run from 23 November to Christmas Eve. Instead of a limited set of deals, they are simply asking their customers to show that they have made a purchase of €25 or more in a neighbouring independent store to avail of a 10% discount at Hen’s Teeth.
“Small businesses can’t keep up with the surplus stock that many larger companies release especially for Black Friday at such discounted prices. Harvey Norman have really made an event of Black Friday this year, with deals introduced from two weeks before the day itself. In-store is where to get the best discounts, with prices changing hourly to match other stores on the day itself. If you find a product cheaper than Harvey Norman’s Black Friday pricing, they will even match or beat it, and refund the difference within 7 days if you’ve already purchased it, so it’s worth checking out other stores to compare. The Citizenry
