Looking onto Dunkerron Island in Kenmare Bay, this three-bedroom, four-bathroom house for sale in Co Kerry has got some really beautiful interiors.

Along a winding avenue, a gated entrance marks your arrival onto this serenely peaceful bungalow just outside of Kenmare. Though relatively unassuming looking, it hides three bedrooms and plenty of spacious, open-plan living spaces.

On the market for €995,000, the bungalow has views down to the water and across the bay, as well as back towards Killarney National Park. Within the mature 1.4 acres of land there’s also a detached garage and plenty of parking spaces.

Inside, the house is laid out across 206 square metres, with many rooms enjoying a dual aspect that maximises on views. A large  country-style kitchen/diner welcomes you from the front hallway, which has a stove and French doors onto the seafront garden. Also off the hallway is a boot room/utility, bathroom and the first of the three bedrooms, located in the quiet gable end. With 270º views, this bedroom also has an ensuite and built-in wardrobe.

Back through the kitchen is a large living space with an open fireplace. A huge picture window frames the ocean views here and a set of double doors lead directly onto the garden. Through another pair of French doors is more private sitting room. Sunken and snug, it’s perfect for a winter’s evening, or can be easily converted into a fourth bedroom.

Down a light-flooded corridor are the other two bedrooms, one double with an ensuite, one twin room and a large family bathroom.

We’re genuinely quite smitten with the interiors for this home, the soft green wall palette complements perfectly with the lush views and the flagstone floors and ample firesides make it the perfect place to cosy up in, come summer or winter.
