As the back to school prep is just around the corner we’ve kept an eye out for a few class items that could teach us a thing or two.

1. We don’t remember technical drawing being this delicious. For the perfectionist in you, chop your veggies to a tasty T with this Obsessive Chef board by Fred, €31, Debenhams.
2.Perhaps you like the industrial look or metalwork was one of your fave subjects? Either way, this pendant lamp is your new friend, €109, Harvey Norman.
3. Art students will love these cute prints by Fawn (F?n Regan, a graduate of Dun Laoghaire Art College), €90-?130, Crafts Council of Ireland.
4. Not sure if we could make anything nearly as lovely in woodwork but at least it’s given us an appreciation of the Besp-Oak Teak Madura bench. See what they did there? €299, Country Life.
5. Just as retro as our school days in home economics, this orange set of scales is pretty appealing. €27, Littlewoods Ireland
