Saoirse Ronan's Greystones house
Have you ever wondered how the other half lives? Saoirse Ronan’s Greystones house is for sale and the photos do not disappoint
Saoirse Ronan’s five-bedroom house in Greystones, Co Wicklow is officially on the market. Priced at €1.5 million by Galvin estate agents, the property boasts a private setting and prestigious location.
The 25-year-old actress bought the house in 2017, but as she spends so much time working abroad, it’s no surprise she’s selling up again.
Private, wrought-iron, electronic gates are installed at the top of the sweeping driveway (understandable, given the former resident was a Hollywood A-lister).
Behind the front door lies a spacious entrance hallway. With its sophisticated floor tiles, high ceilings and spotlights, estate agents at Galvin say it’s, “worthy of the most elegant dinner party”.
To the right, there are two interconnecting reception rooms; namely a living room and dining area. While this large space creates a welcoming, open-plan feel, sliding doors can separate the rooms for privacy.
Some notable features in this room include broad-panel wooden floors (which have been salvaged and restored), a marble fireplace, sash windows with working shutters, and a number of built-in bookshelves.
What’s more, the dining room (located to the front of the house) has three windows overlooking the garden. It currently has an eight-seater dining table, with lots of room around, as well as a piano in the corner.
The kitchen-cum-breakfast room is truly the heart of the home. In the centre, there is a large island which doubles as a breakfast bar. It has a white marble countertop for food preparation and a wooden countertop to eat from.
The kitchen’s many storage units have been hand-painted in baby blue, while white subway tiles line the back of the range.
Towards the end of the kitchen, there is an additional living space. This comes with a fuel-burning stove and TV point, making it possible for the whole family to get together as one.
From here, there is access to a large utility room, a side garage and the rear garden. There is also a guest WC off the hall and a quirky reading room which opens to the rear patio.
The first floor of Saoirse Ronan’s Greystones house boasts five impressive bedrooms. Each of them comes with fitted wardrobes, while four of the rooms have their own ensuite bathrooms.
Not only that, but one of the bedrooms has been converted into a large walk-in wardrobe.
Elsewhere, the newly fitted bathrooms are comparable to those in five-star hotels. Some key features include a marble vanity top, subway tiles, a clawfoot bathtub, and a spacious walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead.
A golden, heated towel rail, plus golden taps and showerhead, only add to the luxury.
Saoirse Ronan’s Greystones house has beautifully tranquil, landscaped gardens. Beyond the tree-lined driveway, there are manicured lawns with mature greenery and high walls – creating an intimate, private setting.
There is also a long, narrow patio area to the front – perfect for enjoying a morning coffee; as well as a large patio area to the back for al fresco dining.
Estate agents at Galvin say, “Once you arrive at the property there is a real sense of peace… where the only sounds pervading the quiet calm are the birds in the day time and the noise of the ocean nearby by night.”
There’s no doubt Saoirse Ronan has luxuriously good taste.
