Another one bites the dust. Sad news for Billie Piper, (hers was the first album I ever owned on CD, remember Honey To The Bee?) after nine years, she’s called it a day with her husband Laurence Fox.
Why did they split, you ask? Because they want to, because they want to. (Don’t mind me, I’ll get my coat).
They married in 2007 after finding love on the set of Treats, a play in which they both starred. The couple shared their sad news via Fox’s Facebook page with a short statement.
Billie Piper was famously married to DJ and newfound presenter of Top Gear, Chris Evans. Though they were only married for three short years, theirs was a celebrity coupling that defined the noughties. Their divorce was finally over the line in 2007, at which point Piper was able to marry Fox.
Piper and Fox have two boys, Winston and Eugene, born in 2008 and 2012 respectively.
Another sad split in a world where so few couples seem to go the distance.
Their statement read: “Laurence Fox and Billie Piper have separated. No third parties are involved. For the sake of our family we request and appeal for space and privacy at this time”.
