Recharge Your Batteries With These Simple Smoothies

Recharge your batteries this week with one of these delicious smoothie combinations.

I know, I know – it can be a struggle?to put anything healthy into your body when it’s this early, but these simple, quick, and minimal effort’recipes will give you the positive kick you need to start your week off the right way. Fruit delivers natural sugars that give you a short burst of energy, but adding oats into?your morning smoothy promotes slow-release energy and will keep you fuller for longer.

Berry Beautiful

Berry smoothie

1/2 cup of strawberries

1/2 cup of blueberries

1/2 cup of raspberries

2’dessert spoons of natural yoghurt

1/2 cup of oats

a’squeeze of honey

Garnish with frozen berries

This light smoothie is full of antioxidants and is a real winner for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Peanut Twist

1-2 bananas

1 tablespoon of organic crunchy peanut butter

1 tsp of wheatgrass

2’dessert spoons of natural yoghurt

1/2 cup of water

Garnish with slice of banana

This smoothie is great for anyone with a busy?lifestyle: Wheat grass is a fantastic natural antioxidant?and is rich in protein and vitamins. It might smell and look a bit nasty, but it will do wonders for your body and mind. Organic peanut butter?is full of natural fats, but it’s worth spending the extra few euro on organic brands as non-organic peanut butter can be full of artificial sugars and can contain polyunsaturated fats.
