THE HAPPY COUPLE?Ariana Edger, non-profit sector worker and Matt Edgar live in Philadelphia. They met?four years ago while on internships in California.
Ariana and Matt returned to the groom’s homeland for their dreamily pastoral nuptials. Getting hitched on a cliff overlooking the North Irish Sea might seem like lunacy to residents of our little isle but the risk paid off for this US-based couple – not a single drop of rain fell. Another brush with serendipity came when Ariana and Matt stumbled upon the ruins of Dunseverick Castle, the venue for the ceremony, a mere two days before their wedding. The ceremony took place en plein air, framed by the sea and the lush green pastures of north Antrim. The reception party was an elegant yet rustic affair that drew upon the couple’s respective cultures. Spanakopita and Guinness? Now there’s a match made in heaven. A simple palette, lit with gold accents, simple blooms and lots and lots of foliage created the perfect aesthetic.
