Read: Ariana Grande’s Feminist Outburst

Ariana Grande was only born in 1993, which was basically yesterday, and while she’s often been described as a bit of a wagon in media circles, this is pretty impressive.

The 21 year old singer took to Twitter to unleash a feminist rant of the highest order, capping off her rousing opus with a quote from none other than Gloria Steinem: “Any woman who chooses to behave like a full human being should be warned that the armies of the status quo will treat her as something of a dirty joke. She will need her sisterhood.”

The talented hit-maker broke up with her boyfriend, Big Sean, back in April and despite what the media try to project upon such female stars, Grande will have your head if you try to define her by the guy she does or doesn’t date.

Unexpectedly, her words on sexism, misogyny and the double standards of men and women are rather commendable. Her digital outburst has since made waves across the internet, with many now viewing the young pop star in a new, formidable light.

In short, do not mess with this one.
