Millie Mackintosh And Professor Green End Their Two-Year Marriage

Budding lifestyle entrepreneur Millie Mackintosh and rapper Professor Green are to divorce after two years of marriage, according to The Sun.

The former Made in Chelsea star and rapper, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, released a statement about their relationship. “It is with sadness and regret that we confirm our separation. It is a mutual decision, we still care deeply about each other and would like it to be known it is on amicable terms and we wish each other well.?

They married in 2013 at Babington House in Somerset?after getting engaged in March the same year. They began dating in 2011.

The couple is now living apart but has not yet filed for divorce, according to reports. Their busy schedules meant they found it difficult to spend quality time together, and Professor Green revealed on social media recently that he spent a day with his wife for the first time this year.

Talking about his recent Instagram post where he wrote of him and Millie, ?First day spent together all year.? ?We had seen each other like ships in the night, we weren’t getting any quality time together,” he said. ?It is good sometimes to have space, but it is also difficult when you miss someone for that long.?

“It used to happen when I was touring. You would have a day off and try and have the best day of your life. But then you’d just start arguing. That is a relationship. The best way is a balance and being really clever with the time you do have together and making the most of that.”

While it’s always sad to hear a couple are going their separate ways (and they were such a genuine, lovely pairing), their joint statement was touching and very mature; it’s obvious that the situation is amicable, which makes a refreshing change from all the celebrity divorce drama that goes on.

Millie is currently at London Fashion Week and recently published her first book, Made: A Book of Style, Food and Fitness and Green has been working on a series of documentaries for the BBC as well as co-hosting Channel 5’s Lip Sync Battle with Mel B and racing cars for a new ITV motoring show titled?Drive.
