Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Reunite To Adopt A Dog

2015 has truly been the year of celebrity splits. Any couple we thought were solid as a rock (we’re still not really over Ben and Jen) said adieu and it wasn’t always pleasant. So, that’s why this news has cheered us up mightily. A break-up doesn’t always have to be fodder for tabloids; maturity can reign supreme. Two former lovers casting aside their differences and reuniting (temporarily) to give a dog a much-needed home gets us every time.

And that’s exactly what Miley Cyrus and her former fianc? Liam Hemsworth have done. According to US Weekly, Cyrus helped Hemsworth adopt a puppy over the weekend. The Hunger Games actor rescued a gentle-looking female dog from Wylder’s Holistic Pet Center and Rescue in L.A on Sunday after Cyrus reportedly flagged the adorable pup for him.

The happy news surfaced when Wylder’s Pet Center posted an Instagram of Hemsworth with the caption, “Thanks @mileycyrus for loving dogs as much as we do!! You helped find this gigantic, 6-month-old puppy a new home. @liamhemsworth you will give this deserving baby a great life.”

“Miley sent him a ton of photos – Liam was asking for photos of the dog being held,? an employee for the pet rescue group said. ?Liam got back from China and literally came right to Wylder’s to take the dog home. The dog is super gentle and sweet and took to Liam, despite being afraid of men in the past.?

And as if this story couldn’t get any cuter, Hemsworth named the dog Dora after Dora The Explorer. Apparently,?the show is his nieces and nephews? favorite programme. Can we get a collective aww, please?

The fact that this former couple has retained feelings of mutual love and respect for each other shouldn’t come as a surprise; the pair has only ever had good things to say about one another since their separation.

“You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. We were together five years, so I don’t think those feelings will ever change. And that’s good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn’t just a fling. It was an important part of my life and always will be,” the actor said of the relationship in a recent interview.

“Me and Liam are still so close, and we love each other,? Miley told Elle.
