Markets, movies and veggie food galore: here’s What’s On in Dublin this weekend

That weather really has the potential to bring us down this weekend, but Dublin has thankfully come to the rescue yet again with a great line-up of things to do. Here’s What’s On in Dublin this weekend.

Saturday and Sunday: Let your inner foodie out at Dublin Vegfest

Love vegan food? Then you’ll love an entire festival around it this weekend at Griffith College in Dublin. With a drool-worthy line-up of eateries (including Umi Falafel, Coke Lane Pizza and the Saucy Cow) and a brilliant line-up of speakers to boot, it’s the perfect foodie weekend, with a much-needed ethical edge.

Saturday: Take a breather at a Mindfulness Tour of the National Gallery

Strolling through the National Gallery of a Saturday is already a pretty relaxing experience, but this guided tour, designed to pair mindfulness with the beautiful artworks on show, is doing it even better. Encountering each work on a deeper level, expect to leave feeling very zen. Free to everyone, from 1:30pm.

Sunday: Get swapping at SFD, Reuzi and Kerb’s Foxrock Swapshop

Another week, another Sustainable Fashion Dublin event on our What’s On guide. This weekend sees them move to the south side to two of its most exciting new additions, new sustainable lifestyle shop Reuzi, and a delicious eatery Kerb. The format is simple – bring five items of clothing, take one piece of clothing at each swapping, and then have a free-for-all. The perfect way to prep your wardrobe for the week ahead.

On Sunday: The Iveagh Market is back (just a little smaller) in Drop Dead Fred

If there’s been an Iveagh Market-shaped hole in your heart since it lost a venue earlier this year, this weekend should fill that right back up. Their first market, taking place across two floors of Francis Street venue Drop Dead Fred, will have all the usual fare we know and love — antiques, food, fashion and live music too.
