From its beginnings in a spare room in Stillorgan eight years ago, Carter Beauty is now a thriving establishment, looking after the beauty needs of some of Dublin’s most glamorous ladies. Marissa, its founder, came up with the idea for a tan that would develop in just an hour and last for five to seven days, and thus, Cocoa Brown Tan was born. It launched in November 2012 and her initial order was for 25,000 bottles, which she hoped would sell out within twelve months – they actually sold out in nine weeks. It’s now available in over 1,300 pharmacies in Ireland, including Boots, as well as Penneys. ?I am passionate about beauty and business, so the ability to combine the two in the Cocoa Brown brand has been fantastic.”
