In a cinematic summer of blockbusters and earthy indie dramas, seeing a movie hit screens devoted to old school Hollywood glamour is a refreshing tall glass of water/infused alcohol. And no, we’re not talking about Entourage. Driving a nice sports car does not equate swagger, Vince and company. If there is one movie that is speaking to our sartorial souls this month, it’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E, the period spy drama from the beyond-cool brain that is Guy Ritchie.

Not only are the two leads drop dead – take a bow Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer – but It Girl Alicia Vikander establishes herself as a leading lady who can more than handle the limelight. After all, Vanity Fair appointed her to their Best Dressed List. This Swedish actress is not a flash in the European Import pan.

As well as the talent, the wardrobe is beyond swoon worthy. Think vintage tailoring that never goes out of style, Mod dresses, sunglasses that we’ll devote a pay cheque to, Henry Cavill’s broad shoulders encased in those cut to perfection suits. Forget Christian Grey and his symbolic skyscraper, this is proper buy-me-a-drink-sexy.
