How D-Lightful

How D-Lightful

Opened in 2008 and based in an historic warehouse building in the?North Inner City,?D-light was initially a photography studio, the brainchild of the multi-talented?Agata Stoinska. It’s now a versatile multimedia space and latterly became?the place to go for a seemingly inexhaustive list of?events, ranging from?art and photography,?exhibitions, workshops, indoor?market parties, fashion, film and TV shoots, DJ sessions and concerts.

A members-only club (though sign up is free and easy, you can do it?here), D-Light’s parties have quickly garnered cult status, but we’re particularly taken with the idea of their indoor market parties, which take place on the first Sunday every month (the next three dates are: 6 July, 3 August, 7 September). A really intimate brocante noon-to-evening?do, it features poetry readings, a kids? cinema and play area, crafts market, restaurant food, family entertainment and live music performances.

If you’re feeling like something a bit more nocturnal,?the third Saturday of every month sees a new DJ night, Deflect. A BYOB party series, it was launched with an aerial performance by the?Paperdolls and set by?DJ Shrem, so we have high hopes for the next soir?e.
