Are you looking for a house for sale in Monkstown? Or simply a snoop around someone else’s gaff? Come tyre kickers and eager buyers and check out this stunning home with sea views.

When you hear the words “terrace house”, a four-bedroom, three-bathroom 265-square-metre home isn’t quite what you’d expect, but this is Monkstown after all.

Set back off the road, this house is one of the oldest on the street, built around 1790. Spread across four floors, the entrance floor features a spacious dining room and kitchen with a range.

On the first floor, the traditional piano nobile is retained, offsetting the large space with a dusty blue/purple wall for warmth and cosiness. A library is tucked into the back of this floor, with a south-facing view over the Dublin Mountains.

The house has been slowly restored by its current owners and retains a number of original features including the sash windows, fireplaces and cornicing.

The top floor houses two bedrooms both with an ensuite and the basement level has been split, one side features a sunroom opening onto the spacious garden, a bathroom and a utility room.

On the other side is a reception room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette, which can be made into a self-contained apartment accessed through its own external door behind the front steps.

It’s even got a double garage and access to the rear laneway but the real winner with the sea views from the upper floors that look out over Dublin Bay and back towards Killiney Hill and the Dublin Mountains.
