These Are The Hilarious Text Messages People Send Their Exes

These Are The Hilarious Text Messages People Send Their Exes

We’ve all been there. Resisted the urge to text our ex-partner on a night out and hit ‘send’ before common sense can kick in. You feel happy slash sad slash mortified when it’s done, but the embarrassing, heartfelt and/or tragic message has gone into cyberspace, for better or for worse. ?And if you’ve ever wondered what kind of messages people send former lovers, well, you’re in luck because an Instagram account was set up to chronicle this. And the results are utterly hilarious.

Entitled ‘Texts from your Ex,’ it’s a popular Instagram account (that’s also a book) that shares the brilliantly bad texts we, as a society, send our former flames.

From drunken awkwardness to tragic pleading to a Beyonc? mix-up, this stream of (allegedly) real texts, sent in by fans, has snagged 1.8 million followers.

The account was set up by Elan Gale, one of the producers of the TV show The Bachelor.?It’s like a social media follow-on of his show; we aren’t exactly sure what’s real, but the results are wildly entertaining.

We too hope you never take your partner for “granite.”

See the best messages below and have a giggle this weekend:
