The hairdressing industry’s elite, including John Maher of Queen Beauty Emporium; Mark O?Keeffe and Christian Shannon of Brown Sugar; and award-winning hairstylist Stephen Kelly It was an evening of style and inspiration as the hairdressing industry gathered for the Irish Wella Trend Vision Awards in Dublin’s Mansion House. An electrifying atmosphere surrounded the event with modern dancers and a high-tech catwalk inspired by global runways. The competition showcased 35 talented hairstylists, all of whom battled it out for an opportunity to compete in London at the 2014 UK & Ireland Trend Vision Award Final. The competition was judged by a panel of leading hair and beauty experts, including IMAGE beauty editor Liz Dwyer, Paul Adamczuk of Cheynes Hairdressing in Scotland, Simon Bryer from Michael Van Clarke London, Robert Eaton from Russell Eaton London, Caroline Spencer from Sassoon Academy London, knitwear designer Mary Callan, and Lucila De Paula of Bellebas. TV’s Darren Kennedy acted as MC, while world-renowned beatboxer BeatFox stunned the crowd with his skills. The night saw a display of fashionforward looks and incredible standards achieved, with Olive Tucker Lee from House of Colour taking home the coveted IMAGE style award.
