Gym, concierge & cinema: a look inside Dublin’s most impressive development

Cairn are known for creating beautiful dwellings in Dublin’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. Their latest development, Marianella, is a collection of spacious apartments and houses on Rathgar’s Orwell Road. With the highest quality in every detail from flooring to fittings in their homes, those who live there can also enjoy the luxury of the impressive facilities of The Residents’ Clubhouse. This includes a gym, sauna and steam room, meeting room, lounge area, manned concierge desk, and a state-of-the-art private cinema, so we had to take a peek and see them for ourselves.

Cairn Marianella

Gym facilities are available to residents, with personal trainer Colin Gaffney on hand to assist with any fitness and wellbeing goals, whether it’s some simple pointers or a full exercise plan. “This is a facility that is on your doorstep, which makes fitness and wellness much easier to achieve,” Colin points out. “There’s no fixed time – you can nip down for 15 or 20 minutes. There are a select number of classes, such as yoga, pilates and boot camp and we are available to create personalised programmes when a resident comes in for the first time, so they can be assessed and introduced to the equipment. The emphasis is on wellbeing and having some fun with fitness”

The equipment available includes several bikes, rowers and treadmills, as well as free weights and weights machines, all of extremely high quality, all of which will be regularly maintained. Having these facilities so close to home is a dream, making exercise easy to fit into your life. You won’t even have to pack a gym bag – simply stroll home to use your own shower afterwards.

The private cinema is another incredible facility available for residents to use. Perfect for a family night in or inviting a group of friends over, you can enjoy a movie night without having to worry about tickets, parking, or catching the last bus. A simple stroll home at the end of the film is all that awaits you when the credits roll, and with high-definition viewing and full surround sound, you’re not sacrificing the quality of that cinema experience.

It’s also the perfect for those who have downsized, but still want to invite the whole family around to watch a film – there’s no worries about finding a seat for everyone in your living room with this purpose-built space.

Cairn Marianella

Catering for business as well as pleasure, The Residents’ clubhouse offers a meeting room, a space to accommodate your professional needs whether it’s giving a quick brief or assembling your team for a big project. Ideal for those of us who don’t have a traditional nine to five job, or those who work from home. This is accompanied by a lounge area, suited to more casual meetings, a place to chat with friends, or just as an additional space to relax and enjoy the luxurious surroundings.

These spaces are also ideal for downsizers – a smaller home doesn’t have to mean sacrificing somewhere to get some work done, or meet a client. Similarly, rather than clearing a space in the living room for your morning yoga, the dedicated gym space frees up your home from tasks like this.

The concierge service will be on hand to help with booking all these facilities, as well as any other issues or queries that residents have. With so much catered for, these features are an investment in the kind of lifestyle you want to have. Especially if you’re downsizing, it’s the ideal way to make sure you don’t have to compromise, just because your home is smaller.

Cairn

As well as these shared facilities, the homes themselves are finished to an extremely high quality, with everything taken care of. From features like bespoke fitted wardrobes to satin-glazed bathroom tiles, every detail of a Cairn property has been carefully considered. This not only means you can move in, confident in the knowledge that you’ll have everything you need from day one, but that because everything is completed by expert craftspeople, designers and builders, it will last for years to come: a real investment in quality. This gives the perfect blank canvas to add personal touches, without having to worry about the nitty-gritty details.

No matter what stage you’re at, Cairn pride themselves on building your future. A Cairn home is a guarantee of quality, created by the best architects, designers, builders and craftspeople. Visit cairnhomes.com to find out more about their current and upcoming developments.
