Ganni’s cult summer dress now comes in rainbow colours

Ganni’s cult summer dress now comes in rainbow colours

The Ganni cult summer dress just got even better

Hark back to last summer’s trends and you’ll remember there was a whole lot of floral-printed wrap dresses, The Polka Dot Dress, the lurid, complicated-cut-out clothing of Love Island and one clear winner to rival them all: the Ganni seersucker dress.

On paper, it’s a terrible dress: both blindingly neon and all-encompassing check print, made of a ruched fabric (gah!) with a flouncy frill (no) and (deep breath) sleeveless. A dress made of an absolute collection of details to be avoided.

Except of course, all these details just seemed to make this beautiful dress even more fantastic. The flouncy design was prevented from being too girly by the check pattern; the simple shape of the dress made the busy pattern seem less complicated. Influencers usually allergic to pattern with carefully curated all-white Instagram feeds flocked to post it and soon, the high street was filled with neon and black check dresses. You could spot one at every barbeque, picnic and summer wedding.

This summer, Ganni have rereleased the easy-to-wear dress in even better colours; there’s a red and white version, a rainbow iteration for wearing with sandals now, a black, khaki and white version that, worn with boots and a cardi, will see you through to winter.
