This weekend sees the return of Dublin Gallery Weekend, with 36 art galleries across the city opening their doors for visitors to experience the capital’s vibrant and inspiring art scene.
Starting from Friday there are a whole range of events and exhibitions suitable for all ages. We’ve selected our favourites, but?you can see all participating galleries and download your Dublin Gallery map here.

Duncan Campbell opens his new film-work, The Welfare of Tom’s – Hallissy,?his first film based in the Republic or Ireland. The Irish-born Turner Prize 2014 winner is best known for his films that focus on particular moments in history, and the people and objects at the centre of those histories.?Also opening is ‘Europa’, the first survey exhibition of Palestinian artist Emily Jacir’s work in Ireland.

Join the lively discussion ‘Look Club: A new way of looking, a new way of thinking’ for adults and older children, as facilitated by Liz Coman.
Sunday 12-5PM Oliver Cornet Gallery
Pop into this Great Denmark Street gallery to taste some lovely homemade dishes, with vegetables and fruit from the exhibiting artist’s garden.
