Anyone else still a little shook from that thunder last night? The weekend’s outlook is just as gloomy, with heavy rain forecast all weekend. In need of a distraction? Dublin knows your pain and has loads of great events going on this weekend to keep the boredom at bay. Happy weekend from IMAGE!
Friday night: Do your best Mia Wallace at the Pulp Fiction Costume Party at the Lighthouse

With Tarantino’s much-heralded ninth film being released next week, it’s a great excuse to delve into his cinematic history and emerge with a belter of a costume for tonight’s Lighthouse shindig. With arguably more characters available for women than men, you can take your pick of some all-time greats before settling in to re-enjoy the classic Pulp Fiction.
Saturday: Get thrifty at Sustainable Fashion Dublin’s Swapshop and Discussion

Thrift shopping is always a great shout for a Saturday morning activity, and some great company, tunes and treats makes it even better. The ladies at Sustainable Fashion Dublin are absolutely killing it right now on the Irish fashion scene, and their regular events are a great way to get involved. This week’s SwapShop includes a discussion on ‘The Joy of the Thrift’ with Grace Collier of Limerick’s Spice Vintage — sure to be some great insights.
Friday and Saturday: It’s your last chance to experience Copper Face Jacks: The Musical

A standout hit on the Irish theatre scene, Coppers: the Musical has absolutely everyone raving about it. Telling the story of a forbidden love affair between a Kerry woman and a Dublin man, the show has been repeatedly brought back due to popular demand, and is now finishing up for this season. Get your tickets while you can.
All weekend: Indulge at Eatyard’s Wine & Cheese Festival

It’s a festival full of wine and cheese. Do I really need to say more? With a selection of some of the best vendors in the country, this year’s festival conveniently takes place in the city centre (the Iveagh Gardens to be exact). With plenty of talks and Q+A’s happening around the venue, there will also be enough wine and cheese to satisfy even the biggest cravings.
