Dublin Book Festival

Sézane Pop-Up

Dublin Gallery Weekend 2025 lights up Ireland’s capital, offering a four-day celebration of contemporary visual arts across the city’s galleries and creative spaces. Samhain Festival

IMRAM 2025 invites audiences on a thrilling “voyage of discovery” into the world of Irish-language literature, with a dynamic programme blending music, multimedia projects, poetry and even hip-hop. Highlights include Amhráin na Gealaí/Moon Songs: The Phoebe Bridgers Project, Dán na Caillí: The Hagwitch Project, and Bard na Páirce/The Poet of Croke Park, celebrating the life and work of legendary football commentator Mícheál Ó Muirtheartaigh. Kae Tempest

Kae Tempest is a British poet, playwright, rapper, and recording artist, celebrated for their powerful blend of spoken word, hip-hop and literature. Their work often explores themes of social inequality, capitalism, and the complexities of the human experience. Formerly known as Kate Tempest, they came out as non-binary in 2020, and their artistry has been widely recognised with numerous honours, including the Ted Hughes Award and multiple Mercury Prize nominations for their albums.
Design Kenmare

Good Taste: Fashion and Food in Conversation

Good Taste by The Art of Styling is an immersive fashion and design experience exploring how we perceive taste. Part of Irish Design Week 2025, the event merges fashion and food into a multi-sensory performance. Guests will journey through runway moments, soundscapes, movement and immersive installations, each inspired by the elements of a curated meal. Curated by Zeda the Architect with a multidisciplinary team, Good Taste unites designers, stylists, chefs and performers to redefine how we experience design in Ireland.

As part of Irish Design Week 2025, acclaimed Irish designer Sinéad O’Dwyer joins London-based writer and cultural commentator Anastasiia Fedorova for a thought-provoking conversation on body politics, inclusive design and fashion as a force for social change. O’Dwyer’s work challenges traditional ideas of fit and form, while Fedorova explores identity, sexuality and contemporary culture. Meanwhile, Irish designer Eibhlín Albert-Doran join American designer Diane Perne for Design Diplomacy, a concept developed by Helsinki Design Week that produces unique, intimate conversations over a card game of questions.
Embracing Uncertainty featuring Margaret Heffernan, Roy Foster and Tommy Tiernan

Drawing on her new book Embracing Uncertainty: How Writers, Musicians & Artists Thrive in an Unpredictable World, Dr Margaret Heffernan argues that creativity isn’t a luxury and that instead, it’s essential. In this special event, she joins historian Roy Foster and broadcaster-actor-comedian Tommy Tiernan to explore how artistic practice can inspire our culture and politics and how best to embrace flexibility and ambiguity in a constantly changing world.

Ireland’s largest light show returns to Marlay Park and Malahide Castle & Gardens in Dublin and Fota House in Cork with a brand-new 2025 spectacle: The Magic of Winter. Explore a mesmerising winter wonderland featuring illuminated arctic animals, glowing meadows and an enchanting frozen forest. Highlights include a 30-metre hydro screen projecting a winter ocean scene over the lake and a towering Cathedral Tunnel, which is 5 metres high and 30 metres long.
Quiet Lights

Launched in 2018 by Islander, Quiet Lights is Cork’s beloved winter festival, celebrated for its intimate atmosphere and heartfelt programming. Each year, the city’s venues are transformed into havens for folk, traditional and experimental music, showcasing both emerging and established artists. This year the talent includes Niall Breslin, Lisa O’ Neill and Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh.
Dingle Literary Festival

Each year, the Dingle Lit Festival lights up the stunning Dingle Peninsula in late November. Founded in 2019, this unique bilingual festival celebrates contemporary writers in English while also honouring the region’s rich literary and cultural heritage through a dedicated Irish-language programme, supporting new writing in Irish and connecting audiences with the vibrant local literary scene. Guests this year include authors Eimear McBride and John Patrick McHugh and actor Gabriel Byrne.
International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women

Rise up this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and join the march against gender violence in Dublin. Organised by the Rosa Social Feminist Collective, the march calls for urgent government action to protect survivors during court proceedings, including a full ban on access to counselling notes in gender violence cases. The march begins at 5.30 pm at City Hall.
Santa’s House Express

Santa’s House Express returns to Palmerstown House Estate for 2025, and this year, the family can meet Santa’s elves, sing with the reindeer and enjoy a magical train ride to Santa’s Manor.
