Chris Brown has been arrested in Paris on suspicion of rape

Singer and hip-hop star Chris Brown has been arrested in Paris on allegations of rape. According to French publication Closer, who broke the story, Brown was detained with two other men yesterday morning.

According to reports, the claim was made by a 24-year-old woman, who said that she met Brown in a club in Paris before following him to his hotel on the night of January 15. It was here that she alleges Brown raped her, and that she was abused by two other men who were present — a friend of Brown’s and his bodyguard.

French police have reportedly opened an investigation into the claims.

Brown was famously arrested in 2009 for assaulting singer and then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He was sentenced to five years of probation, one year of domestic violence counselling and six months of community service for the crime.
