Reports indicate that the couple has had a rough few months, after Tom’s career was hit by waves of scandal. Earlier this year his integrity as a sportsman, he’s a quarterback with the New England Patriots, came under scrutiny after footballs at one of his games were allegedly tampered with, leading to the media and sports world focusing on ?Deflategate?. Brady, 38, has been suspended in the wake of the controversy and apparently this mess has led to strain in his marriage to the 35-year-old Brazilian model.

The Daily Mail reports that the couple has been spending swathes of time apart and didn’t celebrate their birthdays together this summer. Apparently Tom has been focused solely on his career in recent months, and Gisele feels left out. Arguments have been occurring with increasing frequency.

The couple married in 2009 and have two children together, Benjamin who is five-years-old and two-year-old Vivian. The couple’s union was initially fodder for tabloids, as Brady and B?ndchen began dating very soon after his two-year relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan came to an end.?Moynahan had become pregnant with his first son John, who is now 8-years-old, when the relationship fell apart.

Gisele was subject to criticism a few weeks ago after she visited a plastic surgery clinic in Paris while wearing a burqa as a disguise. Some people complained that the model’s choice of clothing was cultural appropriation and entirely unsuitable for the activity she was undertaking. Brady meanwhile has found himself dragged in Ben Affleck’s divorce drama, with news emerging he accompanied the actor to Las Vegas on a trip with Christine Ouzounian, the nanny who Affleck denies is the reason his marriage to Jennifer Garner came to an end this summer.
