The new Aldi homeware collections drops instore this Thursday – Here’s what can be snapped up

As autumn draws near and the temperature stays below the 20º mark, we’re starting to layer up again, in both our outfit selection and our homeware. Throws are being pulled out of cupboards they’ve been hibernating in since April, sofa cushions are washed in preparation for a few cosy nights in and a tidy is needed after a summer spent frolicking out-of-doors. Aldi clearly knows all of this because the new Aldi homeware collection is everything we’ve been needing, plus a few things we didn’t know we needed. Here’s a look at the collection that will be available in 132 stores across the country from this Thursday.

Cushions

Choose from fringed, piped, pompom or tassel designs in the collection’s core colours of deep blue, burnt orange and pale creams. We’re particularly fond of the pompom cornered cushions. All €9.99 each.

Bean Cubes

One of the best investments you’ll make for your living room, a versatile cube, like these patterned options, will work as a footstool when a crowded couch limits snoozing options or as an extra seat for loitering visitors. €39.99 each.

Textiles

Choose from the new collection of rugs and throws. The striped rugs are 100% cotton and made from washed, dyed and woven recycled clothes, while the herringbone throw is ideal for those chilly August nights. Chindi rugs, €9.99 each, Herringbone throw, €14.99 each.

Storage Baskets

The ironic thing about storage baskets is that they are designed to put unattractive items out-of-sight, but are often themselves unattractive. Not so with these geometric print baskets, available in two sizes with thick, grab-able handles, are perfect for storing toys, beauty products, linens and towels, and you won’t be embarrassed if they’re accidentally left out when unexpected guests come calling. €14.99 for two pack.
