Women unfortunately (both in and outside of the Hollywood circle) are no strangers to body shaming these days. In fact, more and more females in the public eye are deciding to speak out against body shaming, which we think is brilliant. Think Andie MacDowell among others. But, as one actress points out, even pregnant women are prone to body shaming, which we think is just horrendous.

The Sin City actress is heavily pregnant with her second child and spoke to People about how she doesn’t let the haters affect her approach to motherhood. She has been actively showing off her bump on social media, but still says the body shaming comments are around even during her pregnancy.

?People have made comments about how I’m too thin and need to eat a sandwich,? she said.

?I’ve seen it happen with other pregnant women in this business too – we’re either too thin or put on too much weight. But every woman’s body is different. All that matters is that you’re taking care of the nutrition for yourself and your child,? she added. We fully agree with this, and fail to see how anyone could try to body shame any woman, never mind a pregnant woman.

?Don’t let other people get you down, and don’t put other women down either,” – Jamie King

However King, who has a 21-month-old son James with husband Kyle Newman, has sound advice for dealing with the negativity. ?Don’t let other people get you down, and don’t put other women down either,? she added.

King also spoke about having two of her best (and very famous) celebrity friends as godparents to her young son and as yet unborn baby, who is due next month. Pop superstar Taylor Swift will be her new baby’s godmother (aw), joining actress Jessica Alba, who serves as James? godmother.

She spoke about choosing both women for the very important god parenting duties. ?I asked myself, ?God forbid anything happened to me, would she take care of my child as if he were her own? What kind of morals would she instill? Will she be backup support if for any reason my child doesn’t want to come to me for something?? ?I looked for giving people whom I admire, and those two give more than anyone I’ve ever met,? she said.

And her top parenting tips? Sleep when your baby sleeps, and never under estimate the power of napping. Sleep when your baby sleeps,? she added ?Even now that James Knight is older, I know that if I’m tired between 10:30 a.m. and noon, I can lie down and take a nap when he’s napping.?
