Travellers to this elegantly stylish city will be immersed in culture and sights which are a wonder to behold, but before you get to experience all it has to offer, you have to decide where to begin your Italian journey. Milan, Verona and Rome are three incredible places; all perfect for a city break. Before you book your ticket, here’s a brief run through of what you can expect to see and do in each:

The stylish streets of Milan are brimful of?’designer labels from Bulgari, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada to Armani, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, yet Milan is more than a fashion capital.?It’s equally famous for football, the prestigious La Scala Opera House and some of the world’s greatest artworks including Leonardo da Vinci’s famous ‘Last Supper’ ?fresco in the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Our must-see attractions include The Duomo di Milano, Milan’s magnificent Gothic cathedral (one of the largest in the world).

Verona?

?Fair Verona? is without doubt most famous as the setting of Shakespeare’s epic tragedy Romeo and Juliet. Located in north-eastern Italy’s Veneto region, it is far less dominated by tourists than Venice, and holidays in Verona are considered by many to be a more relaxed experience.?For great views of the city, climb to the top of the Lamberti tower, or head over to Castel San Pietro for a vista of the town centre.?A great place to start is the Piazza delle Erbe, the original Roman forum, where you can relax with a cappuccino and get your bearings. ?If you’re looking to experience the nightlife in the city, you won’t be disappointed; there is an array of?popular bars and clubs located in the historic city centre.

Rome

Culture vultures, history fans and art lovers from all corners of the globe will be right at home here. However, despite its wealth of renowned landmarks and monuments, this city?has its feet firmly in the present thanks to its many stylish boutiques, trendy cafes and suburb culture hub. Don’t be afraid to go all-out and taste the divine Italian cuisine, which is so much more than pizza and pasta. You know what they say, when in Rome….
