Skin Formulas was created by Geraldine Jones, who has 20 years of experience in the skincare industry both in Ireland and abroad. She has worked as an aesthetician working with some of the industry’s top skincare brands, and opened her own skin clinic, Mediskin, in 2014 in Nenagh, Co Tipperary.   

Working with her clients, she found that many struggled to understand the multiple steps and products in their skincare routines, which inspired her to create Skin Formulas, a brand designed to simplify skincare. 

This is exemplified by the brand’s skincare routines, which contain everything your skin needs, applied in a simple-to-follow order. 

The Skin Formulas Routine for normal to dry skin contains seven products: Oil & Milk Cleanser, Hydra Serum, Vit C Serum, Eye Cream, Day Cream SPF 50, Vit A Serum, and Night Cream. These are broken down into two simple routines: one for morning and one for night-time. 

Morning

Step 1. Cleanse – Oil & Milk Cleanser: Gently remove impurities from the skin’s surface with an oil-to-milk emulsion cleanser that encourages cell renewal and protects the skin from free radicals and environmental damage. Use AM & PM.

Step 2. Hydrate – Hydra Serum: Replenish the skin’s natural levels of hyaluronic acid for visibly rehydrated, calmer-looking skin with a revitalised outer surface skin layer. Use AM & PM.

Step 3. Prevent – Vit C Serum: Stimulates the production of collagen to help support the skin structure and delay the signs of ageing while neutralising free radicals that prematurely age the skin with this vitamin C serum. Can be used AM and PM, as an alternative to Vit A or instead of Vit A.

Step 4. Rejuvenate – Eye Cream: Draw moisture into the deeper layers of the delicate skin for instantly plump and rehydrated eyes. Use AM & PM.

Step 5. Protect – Day Cream SPF 50: Shield skin from harmful UVA/UVB and blue light exposure to ensure skin’s firmness, elasticity and luminosity are fully protected. Use AM only. 

Evening

Step 3. Restore – Vit A Serum: Re-energise tired-looking skin with our vitamin A serum that encourages cell turnover and elastin production to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Use PM only.

Step 4. Rejuvenate – Eye Cream: Draw moisture into the deeper layers of the delicate skin for instantly plump and rehydrated eyes. Use AM & PM.

Step 5. Revitalise – Night Cream: Re-energise skin overnight with restorative night cream packed with powerful antioxidants to hydrate, brighten and restore the natural good bacteria level within the skin. Use PM only.
