Jennifer Aniston Reveals The Hair Product She Can’t Live Without

Jennifer Aniston Reveals The Hair Product She Can’t Live Without

You don’t get associated with the words ‘iconic hair’ everyday. Well, not unless you’re Jennifer Aniston, who has put those of us with ‘regular’ hair to shame. Over the course of 10 seasons in Friends playing Rachel Green, her character’s hairstyle took on a life of its own and was dubbed “The Rachel.” And from the moment it was cemented in pop culture all eyes were forever on Aniston’s locks – and still are. How many of us continue to wander into hair salons dreaming of such a radical hair transformation – or that we might morph into a clone of Aniston herself? (an unrealistic stretch, granted).

At the very least, we can attempt to get shiny, frizz-free hair at home with the product Aniston herself describes as her “favourite” for keeping her tresses in top condition (when her hair stylist isn’t on speed dial, obviously). It’s available online and should cost you under €25 – joy!

In a new interview, she explained her haircare routine, saying that though she prefers to let her hair dry naturally rather than use a hairdryer, she still needs to use a few key items to ensure that her locks look every bit as good as they do with a professional blow-dry.

“My hairstylist Chris McMillan drops off all kinds of products for me to test,” she told People Style.

“Unite 7Seconds Leave-In Detangler (£22.99) is a new favourite — I can just let my hair air-dry, and it will eliminate any frizz.”

This isn’t the first time she’s advocated a simple, fuss-free approach to her hair. Last year, she told Glamour that “the less you mess with your hair, the better” and revealed that she doesn’t even use hot water in the shower.

“Hot water is never good for your hair or skin, so I wash in warm water. If I’m working, then I usually do wash it, because it has to have continuity, but if I’m not working, I try to give my hair a break for as many days as possible. After the gym, if I have to be somewhere, I usually just throw some heat on it to dry the sweat and then do a little dry shampoo and a little Night Cap, and I’m fresh as a daisy.”

And she has the same low-key attitude when it comes to her overall beauty routine, favouring a ‘less-is-more’ approach and a focus on life happiness. “There were years when I was pounding makeup on like it was going out of style. But I’ve figured out that beauty to me is not about hair and makeup as much as it is about how I’m feeling inside and the place I’m at in my life,” she added.

It’s solid advice if we ever heard it and if her hair itself is anything to go by, a new product that deserves a firm space in all our bathroom cabinets.
