Social pictures from our ‘Genius at Work: Growing in a Creative Career’ networking event
Last week we hosted a special IMAGE Business Club event to help guests learn how to master the balance between creative genius and business acumen.
On Thursday, August 28, at The Dublin Royal Convention Centre, we hosted an IMAGE Business Club event all about building a business as a creative, with expert insights from iconic tastemakers in the industry.
Our expert panel featured John Redmond, artist and co-founder of Ecru Studios; Helen Steele, artist and fashion designer; Brian Woulfe, the Limerick-born, London-based founder of interior design business, Designed by Woulfe; and Sarah Plunkett, co-founder behind iconic fashion brand Queens of Archive.

Guided by IMAGE contributing editor Melanie Morris, our speakers opened up about their own entrepreneurial journeys and how they grew their brands into the successful businesses they are today. The key, like for many creatives, was learning how to juggle the ‘left brain, right brain’ while simultaneously trying to build a business, generate revenues and grow a brand.
Working across art, fashion, and interiors, they each shared their unique perspectives, along with tips on how to thrive in what you love, believe in your own vision, forge valuable friendships, and become resilient and resourceful.

The evening began as always with cocktails provided by Malfy Gin and complemented by Fevertree Tonic and a chance to network with other IMAGE Business Club peers at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre before soaking in insights on building a solid foundation and growing your brand.
Afterwards, attendees departed with a luxury gift bag from Bare by Vogue.
