If you hear the words ?Lens? and ?Larder?, you know you need to act fast and nab tickets. Run by food blogger, cook, author and photographer Imen McDonnell (farmette.ie)?and chef Cliodhna Prendergast (breakingeggs.com) – two ridiculously talented and wonderfully warm human beings – the Lens & Larder workshops and events are not to be missed. For two nights only they are hosting two long table dinners in Kildare Village to celebrate the destination’s ?From the Isle? series of foodie tastings, talks, workshops and pop-up residencies.?Expect a dreamy setting, mouth-watering cocktails and course after course of inspired, delicious food showcasing some of Ireland’s finest producers. Tickets for the Lens & Larder Village Life dinners can be booked at here and are priced at??45 for four courses and transport to and from Dublin. Guests will also be treated to complimentary paired drinks, including a Bertha’s Revenge Small Batch Irish Milk Gin cocktail on arrival and a DIY Teeling Whiskey Irish coffee to finish.

For anyone interested in food and sustainability who hasn’t yet paid a visit to Cloughjordan, the ecovillage in Co Tipperary (home to Joe Fitzmaurice’s legendary Riot Rye Bakery), use this as your excuse to go. On Saturday 25th June, the folk at Cloughjordan host their second SpeakEATsy event which promises an evening of fantastic farm and community food, after-hours jazz, country, folk combo Weave. RTE’s Ella McSweeney and multi-award winning author Paul Kingsnorth will also be there to talk about the extraordinary life and times of one of America’s most iconic individuals – Wendell Berry (novelist, farmer and environmental activist). Authors?Domini Kemp and Patricia Daly will host a dinner from 7pm – 9pm in itsa at Harvey Nichols featuring food from their best-selling cookbook The Ketogenic Kitchen. Guests will be treated to a tasty three-course dinner kicking off with Manchego and artichoke pizza, followed by Grilled mint and chilli chicken with Pomegranate, mint & fennel salad and then finished in style with Peanutty Chocolate torte. The authors will also share their startling personal stories of battling cancer and their research into ground-breaking new ways to feed your body for optimal health. Katie Sanderson, culinary genius behind the Living Dinner Dublin pop-ups, and the fabulous Dillisk temporary restaurant (which she ran for two summers out in the wilds of Connemara) is running another one of her post-yoga veggie feasts at The Fumbally Stables in July. Where a two-hour yoga workshop with Eithne Kennedy (suitable for all levels) will be followed by a multitude of veg-inspired courses and fresh things.
