London has been brimming with interiors, craft and design events over the autumn months, and this feverish creative activity culminated with the World Interiors News Annual Awards ceremony at the end of October. The Saatchi Gallery played host to the most distinguished figures in interior architecture and design, and shone the spotlight on a new generation of emerging artists, designers and the names to watch over the next year.

The winner of the Residential Interiors category 2014 was LOFT MM by C.T. Architects of Bilzen, Belgium. A custom-designed micro-loft for wheelchair-bound occupier, it is a technical gem as well as a mesmerising example of immaculate interior architecture.
The winner in the Furniture category was the Wire Lounge Chair by Overgaard & Dyrman in Copenhagen. Inspired by the techniques and shapes of traditional saddlery and metal work, it uses contrasting materials to render 21st century shape and style.
The Interior Accessories category was won by German designer Hanna Kruse’s Soe Cup series, a minimalist collection of individually hand-cast cups with lids – both functional and pretty in their design.
