Kristin Cavallari’s Brother Found Dead

In tragic news, the older brother of Kristin Cavallari, Michael Cavallari, has been found dead. 30-year-old Michael Cavallari had been missing for two weeks before his body was discovered.

His car was abandoned in Grand County, Utah on November 27^th. According to reports the engine was still running when a passing rancher discovered the car. The airbag had also been deployed. Yesterday the local sheriff’s department released the news that remains had been found in the area near a steep and rocky area. The week before Michael’s disappearance was marred with controversy. He was arrested on November 23rd, the charge relating to allegations he had made threats to a woman outside her apartment while brandishing a firearm, Page Six reports.

Kristin Cavallari released a statement to E! News about the family tragedy. She wrote: “We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time. We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving.”

She also took to Instagram to post a photo of her brother and her as children with the heartbreaking message: “My heart is in a million pieces. Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I’m at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP.?

Kristin recently became a mother for the third time last month with her athlete husband Jay Cutler. She first came to prominence as the star of scripted reality television show Laguna Beach,?and later for her role in?The Hills. She has since become known for her work as a fashion designer.
