Amazing News for Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha stunned London Fashion Week with her Spring/Summer €15 show last week and it looks like the plaudits won’t be stopping anytime soon for the acclaimed Irish designer. After astonishing the critics yet again with that atmospheric collection in St Andrew’s, Holborn, her first Fashion Week show away from the Topshop Show Space umbrella, Rocha finds herself on the BOF 500 list. This is the second year the influential Business of Fashion site and occasional print publication has compiled the list and for Rocha to be recognised means she’s gone from perennial rising star to fully fledged fashion force. Subtitled ?The People Shaping the Global?Fashion?Industry?, the BOF 500 list is a collection of 500 of Catalysts, designers, ?fashion 2.0?, models & muses, executives, creative class, media, and retailers that run the industry, Rocha included.

Rocha’s career has been on an unrelenting ascent with her label ?which she launched aged 24 – becoming the automatic go-to for modern and bold femininity. Now 28-years-old, Rocha is one of the firm stars of London Fashion Week and was last week subject to a New York Times profile wherein her father John said, ?I think what she’s achieved in the last three or four years is almost as good as what I’ve achieved in my lifetime.? That same article reveals Karl Lagerfeld bought one her dresses for a friend – the girl has done more than arrived.
