These are the 10 most wanted fashion items of the summer
The Lyst Index for Q2 has landed and standout shoes and storytelling brands made up the most wanted in fashion this summer.
The Lyst Index for Q2 has dropped and as always, Lyst uses its own search data to determine the ten most wanted items and brands of the last quarter. When the last list landed in April, LOEWE topped the list as the most wanted brand. Since Jonathan Anderson’s departure to Dior, Miu Miu has taken first place, with LOEWE at number two this quarter.
Third spot goes to Saint Laurent, pursued by Prada, Coach and The Row, who also made the top of this quarter’s most wanted products list, followed by COS (the only high street brand in the top 10), Chloé, Bottega Veneta and Moncler. Pucci, Rohe and Jacques Marie Mage make the list as three brands to watch, with celebrity co-signs from Hailey Bieber and Dua Lipa.
To find the world’s hottest products, Lyst’s formula filters more than eight million items by volume of social media mentions alongside searches, page views, interactions and sales in the Lyst app.
The Row’s Dune sandals came in on top of the list of this summer’s most wanted fashion items, with searches for the €780 flip-flop rising by 162%, thanks in part to Jonathan Bailey wearing a pair during a June press appearance. Next was the SKIMS’ white tank top and the festival favourite Adidas Adicolor Sprinter Short, worn by Harry Styles and Bella Hadid.
Juju Vera’s shell pendant necklace was number 7 on the list, tapping into the trend of coastal accessories, while you won’t have scrolled long before coming across Faithfull The Brand’s Hedy dress on your feed, or at least a style like it, coming in at number 9. The rest of the list is made up of six pairs of shoes — “a mix of the functional, the nostalgic, and the outright odd,” according to Lyst. The Vibram FiveFinger shoes saw a 110% increase in traffic and the wedge sneaker revival continues— led by continued interest in Isabel Marant’s Bekett style — while Miu Miu brand’s logo-embossed suede loafers ranked 4th in this quarter’s hottest products.
