I’m not going to lie, when it comes to bras I never seem to hit the jackpot. However, after putting bra shopping off for the longest time, I was thrilled to find my new holy grail bra in Dunnes. Their Smoothing Non-Wired T-Shirt Bra works perfectly under any top I have worn, and is so comfortable you barely remember you’re wearing it. As a 34A, it actually gives me a really nice shape which is always hard to find. Admittedly not the sexiest bra you’ll ever see, but it works a treat and I now own it in every colour!

I am always struggling to find the right bra, and tend to resort to Marks and Spencers, they’ve always been the go-to when I was growing up. I usually go for something like the Amourette Lace Non Wired T-Shirt Bra for day-to-day wear. But I always find myself going back to my sports bras… Oops! This one from Skims is also so comfortable and I really need a non wired bra for day-to-day wear! It’s so soft and easy to wear, which is what I need to make my life easier.

As someone with a bigger bust, having both strong support and comfort is key in a good, everyday bra. But, for some reason, whenever I look in a typical store, every bra with a cup size DD and above is chunky, unflattering and flesh-coloured. I recommend the M&S on Grafton St instead – it has a huge selection of bras, with cup sizes D-K. Also, Brastop is my go-to for fancy bras and sports bras. Most recently, @stylemecurvy recommended Elomi’s strapless bra, and I haven’t looked back since. It’s been a lifesaver for holidays and fancy events alike.

I am going to take this as an opportunity to remind everyone to book a bra fitting. A good bra is no good to anyone if the size is incorrect! I’ve spent half my life bra shopping. Genuinely – even as a young teen, I found it hard to find bras to suit my shape and size. In the last few years, I have tried to embrace my body and have found a few gems when it comes to ‘everyday’ bras.
I live in my Vii System Light from Nuudi System. I love their ethos – they specialise in bra alternatives, designed to hug and embrace your natural shape. I recently purchased the Full Bust Wireless Bra from Boody and I am obsessed. Not only did I receive the best customer service ever (from sizing to delivery), but their bras are consciously crafted from organically-grown bamboo viscose.

For years I had been roaming around crushing my seemingly C-cup boobs into cheap and cheerful bras from Penneys without a care in the world. It wasn’t until I actually got them measured by a professional that I realised they were two sizes more bountiful. I also needed to increase my band size, which made a real difference in comfort for the more long haul bra-wearing days.
I love the Lightly Lined Bralette from SPANX. It’s super soft, wireless and hardware-free, so it’s ideal for daily wear. My finger is also on the trigger for making my first Skims purchase, which will be their Cotton Rib Plunge Bralette. It’s a triangle shape that’s supposed to be nice and breathable.
