Nadia Forde: A week in my wardrobe

Nadia Forde: A week in my wardrobe

by Nadia Forde
04th Feb 2024

Nadia Forde is an actor, writer and mother with a love of all things fashion and beauty. Travelling a lot with work means her outfits are a mix of classic, interchangeable pieces with some vintage treasures thrown in. Here she shares a week in her wardrobe.

MONDAY

Every week is very different for me, between the school run, the gym, going to meetings, auditions or being on set, my day-to-day changes regularly. This week is a good insight into what my different outfits look like. Monday meetings are usually my time to check in on the various projects I’m working on. We got to have one of our meetings in House on Leeson Street today – one of my favourite spots in Dublin city. I love the detailing on this IRO blouse from Seagreen. I’ve paired it with cream silk trousers from Mango and strappy heels (not pictured) from Calvin Klein. When it comes to style, I’m inspired by everything: music, film, art, even Instagram. When dressing a little more polished, it’s important that it feels easy and effortless.

TUESDAY

Today I’m back to the school run and straight into my PT Jess at SF1 Baggot Lane. I’ve been going to Steffan and Jess for years. If I’m working towards a role, we kick up the training a notch, but right now because I’m not filming, our focus is on gaining strength. I am currently powering my workouts with SEABODY Energy supplements. The temperature has dropped so this cosy fleece from Varley is perfect (size up to wear it oversized). I’ve paired it with black 4TH ARQ leggings – I have quite a few pairs of these, I do that thing where if I like something I buy multiples. I finished the look off with a beanie from Zara and a pair of Ray-Bans to cover the lack of sleep!

WEDNESDAY

Fresh-faced after my morning SEABODY skincare routine and I’m straight into the school run. Walking my daughter to and from school is such a special time for me because she has no choice but to tell me all about her day while she scoots home beside me! I followed this with a hot yoga class – I looooooove the heat and try to get a couple of classes in a week. I’m wearing 4TH ARQ’s Harlow Seamless legging (see I told you I have a few!), the Mia Seamless top and a vintage Burberry coat that I picked up in London a few years ago. No matter what city I’m in, I love getting lost for a few hours in a vintage store and finding a few treasures. Giving clothes a second or fifth chapter to their life story is pretty cool.

THURSDAY

I’m heading to do a voice-over for a commercial today so comfort is key. I’m wearing wide-leg black trousers and a thin grey cashmere jumper, both from Zara. The coat is Massimo Dutti and it feels so good to wear, it’s timeless and a quality piece I will have for years. The shoes are Converse and my bag is Chanel

FRIDAY

My friend Anthony invited me to view Andy Warhol Three Times Out – an exhibition he was organising in Hugh Lane Gallery. Getting to see Andy Warhol’s works up close was even more incredible than I had hoped and very inspiring. Warhol was fearless in his work. I’m wearing a black mesh top from NA-KD with a wide-leg tuxedo trouser and a red lip  – a nod to the man himself.

SATURDAY

I’m getting to work with an amazing bunch of talented actors and writers today in Dublin by taking part in a table read for a new pilot script with NTA/Greenlight Screenwriting Lab. The energy in a room like this is unbeatable. These jeans I am wearing are something everyone needs to know about – Anine Bing from Seagreen. They are hands down my favourite that I own. Anine Bing has figured out the perfect waist-to-hip ratio fit, they are a beautiful wash and I can wear them dressed up or down. My silk cami is Bash, the tiny lace inserts are beautiful and the oversized cardi is American Vintage – it’s so soft on the skin.

SUNDAY

We made it! Sunday morning starts with a hot yoga class before everyone at home wakes up. Then it’s all about chill time with family and friends. The day usually involves coffee and a walk somewhere by the sea or on the beach. I’m wearing a cashmere set from sustainable Irish brand Theo + George. I live in this! It’s perfect for the school run, for the plane, in a hotel or a day at home writing on my laptop. I would get this in every colour but alas, it only comes in one!
