Fruity beauty ice pops lips are taking over the summer

Post-popsicle pout is the lip look of the season.

Stay with me here – think juicy, soft-focus electric colour, mirror gloss and that bitten, stained effect, like you’ve just finished an ice pop. The best in beauty all have a fruity lip hoping to make it’s way into your beach bag this summer – these are the coolest of the bunch.

Cool down in H&M Beauty’s new lip collection including the gloss-oil hybrid Lip Treat Oil, €9.99 in four jammy shades of strawberry, cherry and blood orange, Tom Ford’s popsicle pink Soleil Ultra-Shine Lip Colors, €57 or Fenty Beauty’s collection of Gloss Bomb Ice Cooling Lip Luminizers, €27 each, for a wet-look, fruit-scented shine, complete with a peppermint hit for an ice lolly cooling finish.

Rhode has the beauty buy of the season once again with a new Peptide Lip Tint in Lemontini, €26, a sheer gold gloss and citrusy sweet cocktail for the lips, while Glossier has tapped New York’s famous Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding for a sweet and creamy balm, €20, inspired by their iconic dessert.

Laneige’s lip mask is on the shelf of all well-informed beauty buyers, now in a glowy, travel-sized balm with a barely there tint and tangy flavour, €21, while Gisou’s ever Instagrammable wavy lip oils, €27.12, now come in an array of fruity flavours and shades that leave a juicy hue. If the Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask comes with you on every flight, meet the equally hydrating Lip Butter Balms, €20.80, where deep lip conditioning meets sweet flavours to savour.

Finally, Charlotte Tilbury’s new six fruity flavours of Unreal Lips Healthy Glow Nectar Oils, €28, beats the lot, with a glossy oil texture and a skin barrier-boosting matrix of hydrating ingredients for a glossy, nourishing balm with the glow glide of an oil, vinyl shine gloss and a fruity fragrance. Two of the shades – Juicylicious Pink Watermelon and Juicylicious Strawberry Vanilla – comes with a pH-powered filter tech that adapts to the pH of your lips to give you your own bespoke shade, perfect to your natural lip colour, while the balm blend comes with hyaluronic acid microspheres to give the lips a volumising effect.
